Music at Pine Street Church... reaching you at your depths
On Sundays, as well as for other events and occasions, Pine Street Church’s band, the “Pine-Heads,” is central to the contemporary spiritual blend and experience we offer.
The inspiring music the Pine-Heads create will remind you that there is no divide music cannot cross. Our tenured, brilliant and passionate musicians play a variety of instruments (ukulele, guitar, drum set, banjo, organ, piano, voice and beyond). At its core, Pine Street Church’s eclectic music reflects the values and mission of the Pine Street Church family by celebrating diversity, and striving to be a positively impactful force for good in the community, all while maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
About the Musicians
Pine Street Church’s Co-Music Directors are David L’Hommedieu and Ryan Connell, and together with the additional band members, they come from many walks of life and share an intense love of the arts. We also frequently bring in the most integrity driven artists from Boulder and Denver offer such as: Fulbright scholars, vocalists who have sung at the Metropolitan Opera, instrumentalists who have trained with the most skilled and recognized pedagogues in the world, and world music specialists who provide worship with a sense of cultural inclusiveness.
David and Ryan’s Musical Philosophy
“We thrive when providing an eclectic ‘worship through music’ experience. We love all forms of music; from Renaissance vocal works to the latest hit single being played on the radio. As a result, the music heard in worship is often varied and unique.” –David
“We try to provide each congregation member the opportunity to interact every week with disparate music cultures. The diversity we strive for in music is representative of the same diversity found within our Pine Street Church family. –Ryan
